![]() ![]() (This review won’t have story spoilers for the original game). Buckle up because this is gonna be long.įirst of all, if you like or even love this game and haven’t played the original on switch then I HIGHLY request you do because maybe you’ll be able to understand where I’m coming from. Once you’ve defeated Amalthus, a cutscene will play, marking chapter 9’s end. After playing the absolute Masterpiece that is Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition I immediately went out and purchased the sequel expecting it to be not as good as the original but still a great 80/100 time with fluid combat and an epic large-scale story but what I got was a worse experience in every way possible compared to the original. Try to get at least two, if not three turns out of the chain attack to finish Amalthus off fast. When you do the chain attack, use Pyra when Rex’s term comes up, since she can attack all three elemental orbs at once. Hit Amalthus with three level three blade combos of different elements as quickly as possible during the fight, then transform Pyra into her awakened form and use a chain attack. To make things easier on yourself, make sure you have as many different elements between your three drivers as possible. With this setup, you should make it through. You’ll want a healer, a tank, and an attacker in your party. The fight with Amalthus is tough, until you know the right strategy for taking him down. Sneak your way around the Gerolf Sovereign to find one on either side and a passageway leading to an elevator in the distance.Īfter you defeat Jin, another cutscene will play, and this time you’ll need to fight Amalthus. A Gerolf Sovereign will come up from the center of the floor. Follow the ramp to your left down, then take the ramp in the center of the room down a bit further. Run across the Skywalk and exit through the door on the other side, then continue forward into Lv. Once you’re through the door, go through the hallway and pass through a series of doors to reach the Skywalk. If you don’t have it, don’t worry, you can skip travel back here after leveling up your blades. You’ll need Electric Mastery level 5 and Focus level 5 to get through the door. Interact with the panel next to the door to open it. After the scene, you’ll find yourself in a new location with a door ahead of you. ![]() Once you reach the end, a cutscene will play. If you’re going to fight the enemies, take them one at a time as each is a challenge by itself. Fight off or avoid the enemies and continue forward until you trigger another cutscene. Ahead is a long path teeming with enemies. At the end of the ramp, go through the opening to your left, then turn right and go up the next ramp. Stick as close as you can to the right to avoid aggroing them (or just kill them) and go down the ramp ahead. The path you want is to the right of them. Be careful not to aggro too many enemies at once, as flying enemies will come in from either side.Īt the other end of the Skyport is an Indoline Sentinel surrounded by Indoline Loyalists. Follow the path to reach the 7th Perimeter Skyport, then run straight across. Use the terminal to the right of the door to open it, then run through the hallway and turn left once you reach the other side. ![]() Take the elevator in front of you to ascend, then continue straight ahead. Once you have the core crystal, go back up the stairs, then turn right and continue onward to reach Mizar, Elevator #5. ![]()
